Couple share their journey from one end of the ravaged island to the other in search of safety, still waiting to return home

When Monique and Andy McKenna months ago booked their tickets for Montego Bay in Jamaica, visions of relaxing in paradise danced in their heads.

Still in the waning portion of their honeymoon phase, the trip to the Caribbean would be a time for them to chill, have some cocktails, breathe in the climate comfort the island offers, and enjoy their birthdays, only four days apart.
