Northbound traffic is moving slowly through the intersection of Main Street and Brandt Street in Steinbach this Monday as a result of adjustments made to the traffic controls for the Loewen and Brandt construction project.
As was we reported on Sunday, traffic is now using the outside lanes of Highway 12 (Brandt Street) while crews work on the center median. As a result, traffic on northbound brand it being funneled down to one lane before the left turning lane at Main Street, causing congestion.
Aaron Rach, Head Engineer for the City of Steinbach, says the project is nearing completion with everything expected to be completed by November 17th, weather permitting.
