The Regina Police Service (RPS) is repeating a call to carefully inspect Halloween candy after a second report of a chocolate bar containing a piece of metal.

The latest report pertains to the Fairways West area in north Regina.

“The caller reports finding a chocolate bar amongst their child’s Halloween candy, with what appears to be a piece of thin metal inside, similar to a needle,” states an RPS news release issued Monday afternoon.

Police say the child was trick-or-treating in the areas of Fairways West, Westhill and Normanview West/Prairie View near 1st Avenue North.

On Oct. 31, police received a similar report of a piece of metal found inside a chocolate bar after trick-or-treating in the Greens on Gardiner neighbourhood
