It will likely be next February before the driver in a horrific Boxing Day crash that took the life of a young city girl faces a sentencing hearing.
Defence counsel Sam Taylor appeared in Calgary Court of Justice Monday and indicated the earliest date offered by case management was in February.
But Taylor asked Justice Indra Maharaj to adjourn Duane Arlen John Nepoose’s case to next week so he and Crown prosecutor Todd Buziak can confirm their availability for that time period.

“If what you need is another week to kind of tie it up I’m willing to give you that,” Maharaj told Taylor.
Earlier, Taylor said they wouldn’t be able to proceed with sentencing submissions because a court-ordered risk assessment hasn’t been completed by
