The real estate market in Edmonton is showing signs of a seasonal slowdown, though home prices remain higher than they were this time last year.

According to new data from the Realtors Association of Edmonton (RAE), housing activity in the Greater Edmonton Area (GEA) real estate market during October included 3,306 new listings added to the market and 2,061 units sold.

Compared to the previous month, new listings dropped 4.7 per cent, while sales decreased 5.7 per cent.

Year-over-year, new listings were 14.7 per cent higher and sales increased 17.0 per cent. Inventory levels fell 5.9 per cent from last month but were 30.7 per cent higher than in October 2024.
