MORRISVILLE, New York (WWNY) - A SUNY campus is on lockdown after a reported shooting.
SUNY Morrisville is located east of Syracuse, in Madison County.
According to New York State Police, troopers responded to South Hall on the SUNY Morrisville campus at around 3:45 p.m. following a report of a person shot.
Troopers say the victim, 20-year-old male who is not a student, was found with a gunshot wound to the neck. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital for treatment.
According to State Police, no other individuals were injured during the incident. There are no reports of any additional victims and no indication of any ongoing threat to the campus community at this time.
Both State Police and Madison County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
