RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A man was arrested Monday in Forsyth County on multiple felony fraud charges, including exploiting an elder, obtaining property by false pretense greater than or equal to $100,000, and financial card fraud and theft, authorities said.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the alleged fraud on July 1, 2025, following a report of possible financial wrongdoing. After the investigation, a magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Michael Wayne Cain, was taken into custody at the Forsyth County Detention Center, where he was served the warrant. He was issued a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Randolph County District Court on December 3, 2025.
