WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Kansas highway was shut down Monday afternoon after a truck left the roadway and ended up in a pond.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said it happened on K-39 in Wilson County between U.S. Highway 400 and U.S. Highway 75. A semitruck hauling an empty flatbed trailer left the highway for an unknown reason and ended up in a pond.
Troopers said the driver was not hurt and was able to crawl safely out of the cab. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The patrol shut down K-39 between Highway 400 and Highway 75 until the truck could be safely removed from the scene.
