CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) - Stephen Vogt of the Cleveland Guardians has been named a finalist for American League Manager of the Year.

He won the award for his efforts during the 2024 season.

Toronto's John Schneider and Seattle's Dan Wilson are the other two finalists for the honor.

Vogt is looking to join Kevin Cash and Bobby Cox as the only managers to win the honor in consecutive seasons.

He led Cleveland to a record of 88-74 and an American League Central Division title.

The Guardians erased Detroit's 15.5-game divisional lead in July, making it the largest deficit overcome to win a division or league title in MLB history.
