More swimming options will be coming to Metro Vancouver, with the announcement of a new swimming deck planned for Burrard Inlet in the City of North Vancouver.
Waterfront Park, just west of popular Lonsdale Quay, will connect to the swimming deck by a ramp, states a release from the city. An accessible, shallow pool is also included in the design of the Burrard Inlet project, in addition to large protected swimming areas, dedicated swim lanes stretching 50 metres, diving platforms, and spots for people to lounge on the deck.
“We are beyond thrilled to announce this first-of-its-kind project in B.C. that will transform our oceanfront into a vibrant destination for active living, connection, and joy, in a way that has never been done before on our shores,” North Vancouver Mayor Linda Bucha
