Two members of the Blantyre Minibus Drivers and Conductors Association were reportedly assaulted by Migodi owners in Blantyre after attempting to enforce a court ban on the illegal collection of money at pick-up and drop-off points.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred at Nandoz and Mibawa, where the association members had gone to ensure compliance with a ban issued early last month.
The order prohibits individuals, including Tiziwe Mhango, Juma Pitani, Tizi Chelewani, Abel Chelewani, and others not in charge, from collecting money from minibus drivers at these locations, citing the practice as illegal.
