AFTER noticing a significant increase in teens and children having suicidal ideations and attempts, a group of Central West health professionals are teaming up to provide parents and caregivers with the knowledge they need to navigate a child's mental health crisis.

Chloe and Aaron Betts have a combined 16 years of experience as on-road paramedics, with their time split between metropolitan and regional areas.

During this time, Ms Betts has noticed the age of patients in a mental health crisis situation is getting younger and younger.

And as parents themselves, the couple decided to join forces with local psychologists and offer a free information event to the community, through their business Central West First Aid
