MOORHEAD MINN. (Valley News Live) - A 84-year-old Fargo resident was hospitalized Monday after her vehicle collided with a BNSF train at the intersection of Highway 75 and 15th Avenue North.
The Moorhead Police Department responded to the collision at 1:24 p.m. Police said an eastbound vehicle traveling at a low rate of speed collided with a southbound BNSF rail car.
The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was extricated from the vehicle. She was transported by ambulance to a health care facility to receive treatment for her injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are still being investigated. There is no additional information releasable at this time.
Police had asked the public to avoid the area while emergency crews responded to the collision.
