GRIMES COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - Four people have been taken to the hospital following a school bus crash Monday morning.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. on FM 244.
According to a sergeant with the Department of Public Safety (DPS), four people were on board at the time of the crash: the driver, a driver aide and two students.
The bus driver told first responders there was an oncoming SUV that went into the bus’s lane, which caused the driver to move to the right side of the lane. A ditch off the road was steep and the driver said that caused the bus to get away from them.
DPS is investigating the crash.
