The Gillette Police Department was busy over the weekend, arresting eight people who were caught driving under the influence of alcohol. A ninth drunken driver was arrested by the Campbell County Sheriff's Office.

Of the nine arrests, seven of them were made on Halloween night, either late Friday night or early Saturday morning.

100 BLOCK WESTHILLS LOOP : A 26-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol Saturday morning after police responded to a noise complaint. Police spoke with the man as he and other people exited a party, Deputy Chief Brent Wasson said. Noting the intoxicated state of the man, police asked him if he had a ride, and he said he was going to walk up the street to his residence.
