Mills still vying for its own ZIP code
CASPER—The Mills City Council once again voted in support of a federal bill that would give the city its own long-awaited ZIP code.
The council first expressed support this year in May for the bill that would give the city a unique ZIP code rather than sharing one with part of Casper, but similar efforts have been brought up for years to no avail.
The bill to designate unique ZIP codes for a handful of communities across the United States passed the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this year, but it has sat in the Senate’s Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs since July.
A similar bill passed the House last December but was not taken up by the Senate.
The National ZIP Code Advocacy Coalition is traveling to Washington D.C.
