Residents were evacuated from their homes for a number of hours after a 'suspicious item' sparked a bomb squad response in Oldham .
Emergency crews, including police and the fire service, attended the incident on Block Lane, near to Oxford Street, in the Chadderton area on Monday afternoon (November 3).
A large cordon was put in place before locals were urged to evacuate their homes amid the major response.
