MANDAN, N.D. (KFYR) - The Mandan High School Band is invited to perform in the iconic London Parade.

Three dignitaries representing the parade came all the way across the pond to Mandan to ask the band to perform on New Year’s Day 2027.

Students had no idea the invitation was coming.

The Parade is one of London’s most celebrated annual events, drawing an estimated 500,000 spectators to the west end of the city.

“You are the best of the best, so let me be the first person from London to say thank you for all of the hard work that you are going to put in in the coming months to become even better and to prepare yourselves to participate in this really important London Parade,” said Steve Summers, with the London Mayor’s Association.
