The 70-year-old man linked to the stabbing death of his friend pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Monday and was ordered held without bail.
Tyrony Henderson, 70, of Brockton, faces one count of murder in connection with the stabbing of his friend, Mark Courtney, 68. Officials say Courtney was stabbed 22 times.
An attorney for Henderson did not immediately return a request for comment Monday afternoon.
On Friday at around 9:53 p.m., Brockton police responded to a call for a stabbing inside an apartment at 46 Spring St. There, first responders found a man with stab wounds to his neck, chest and leg, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz.
Courtney was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the statement.
