CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) – A home invader is dead after the homeowner shot and killed him last week. The Carlsbad Police Department said 46-year-old Michael Brooks Rall broke into the home on West Riverside Drive last Thursday evening.

They said the homeowner spotted a man inside, and the homeowner shot Rall during a confrontation. Police did not say if the homeowner will face charges.
