NEBRASKA (KCAU) — The man who leads the Nebraska Treasurer’s Office, Tom Briese, is resigning from his position. Governor Jim Pillen shared the change at a press conference on Monday in Lincoln.
Briese has served as Treasurer since 2023, and previously, State Senator representing District 41 in the Nebraska unicameral, beginning in 2016, he was re-elected in 2020.
Briese said he's resigning to spend more time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
