Duke women's basketball saw its six-game season opener winning streak snapped in Paris, France.
The No. 6 Blue Devils, led by sixth-year head coach Kara Lawson , fell 58-52 to No. 18 Baylor in the Oui-Play Paris event on Monday, Nov. 3. Duke ’s comeback came up short, trailing by four with 52 seconds remaining, as it starts the season 0-1.
After entering the fourth quarter tied, Baylor outscored Duke 15-9 to seal the win. Duke held the lead for 25:55 of the game, while Baylor led for just 10:43. Duke's offense struggled, shooting just 29% from the field (20-of-69) and 21.1% (4-of-19) from 3. Sophomore forward Toby Fournier led the Blue Devils with 16 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks while Ashlon Jackson added nine points.
