TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Tucson Baseball Team has canceled its fourth homestand at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium due to ongoing U.S. visa issues for its officers and players.
The team was scheduled to host the Tomateros de Culiacán for a three-game series, including a Saturday doubleheader, on Nov. 8-9. This series will now take place in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico.
This cancellation is part of a challenging first season for the team in the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico (LAMP) after relocating from Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico. The team has been playing its initial 17 games at the home stadiums of its opponents.
The next home series at Kino is set for Nov. 18-20. There are seven more scheduled homestands left, covering 21 games.
