In a tragic incident, at least 19 people–10 women, eight men, and a three-month-old infant– lost their lives after a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) bus, carrying 72 passengers, collided with a truck in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district on Monday.
The accident took place on the Hyderabad-Bijapur Highway when a tipper truck, reportedly coming from the wrong side, rammed into the RTC bus.
About 16 people among those who died were natives of Tandur, a small town in Telangana’s Vikarabad district, about 50 km from Hyderabad.
Among them is Yellaiah Goud, a driver who has lost three daughters, all college students in Hyderabad — Anusha, Sai Priya and Nandini.
