A multimillion-dollar national drug syndicate responsible for the alleged “large-scale” supply of drugs across Australia has been dismantled by police.
Officers from NSW Police, Western Australia Police and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) arrested and charged 18 people and allegedly seized a combined 268kg of illicit drugs following a multi-jurisdictional investigation into the syndicate, which allegedly had “international” connections and a reach from the east to west coast of Australia.
Police bodycam footage captured some of the arrests – including two men in Perth after WA Police allegedly seized more than $670,000 in cash and 15kg of methylamphetamine.
Both will face Perth Magistrates Court on November 17.
