The Ontario Provincial Police arrested and charged a driver with drug and firearms offences.
Members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP conducted a traffic stop on Church Street in West Nipissing on Oct. 29 around 8:10 p.m.

A search of the vehicle located two replica hand guns and drugs suspected to be Cocaine and fentanyl.
As a result of the investigation the driver, Billy-Joe Lavallee, 42, from West Nipissing was arrested and charged with possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose and two counts of possession of a Schedule I Substance.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Dec. 4 in North Bay.
