CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - West Charlotte High School became the center of attention over the weekend following a large fight on Friday and then the fatal shooting of a student on Saturday in two unrelated incidents.

In a video shared on social media, students can be seen moving in a large crowd, many with their phones out recording, while others throw punches.

As School Resource Officers attempted to break up the brawl, one officer activates his taser, and another appears to pick up a female student and slam her to the ground. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police addressed the viral video during a news conference on Friday night.
