NEW ORLEANS — City leaders are now trying to revive the bond plan and are scheduled to meet on Wednesday in Baton Rouge with state officials to negotiate a revised approach.

Councilmember Joe Giarrusso confirmed Monday night, "Yep, I plan to be there. The plan is to have a dialogue about where the City stands and what the plans are for the future. Hopefully being in the same room will help hash that out. "

When asked if a state fiscal administrator is still on the table, Giarrusso said, “The Mayor-Elect put that to bed. We aren't comfortable with that approach.”
