FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. — A slow shuffle of people pass by works of art at the Minnesota State Fair. But around a bend, in the fair's Fine Arts Building, the movement stops as a crowd gathers in front of a large drawing.
Children and adults with magnifying glasses stand mesmerized.
“It's so cool,” Kate Nestingen says as she peers through a lens.
“I couldn't even write this small if I wanted to,” adds an amazed child as she peruses another section of the drawing.
What seems like a series of random squiggles from a foot or two away, reveals something quite different through magnification.
“It’s amazing,” JT Caehne says as her handheld glass brings tiny words into focus.
She scans the drawing, peering through the lens, as connected words come into focus.
