The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office says Omarion Shelton surrendered to authorities Monday afternoon. He was wanted for questioning in connection with an early-morning shooting on Flowers Street in Crawford and now faces charges of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

Deputies say the incident began as a struggle over a gun. A 21-year-old victim was reportedly dragged down the road in a black Kia before multiple shots were fired. The victim suffered two gunshot wounds—one passing through the arm into the abdomen and another to the back of the head—and was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, where he remains in critical condition.
