The Hawaii Department of Health is alerting residents of a recent recall of yellow and white peaches sold at local stores and supermarkets due to potential listeria contamination.
Moonlight Companies on Oct. 29 voluntarily recalled the California-grown peaches, which were sold between Sept. 16 and Oct. 29 at stores including Costco, Target, Whole Foods, Times Supermarkets and Big Save.
The DOH Food and Drug Branch is working with these stores to ensure that the recalled product is no longer available for sale.
To date, there have been no confirmed reports of illness or adverse events attributed to the recalled products.
The peaches were either sold as individual pieces of fruit bearing PLU stickers or as multipacks in bags.
However, the recall does not include packages or PLU sticke
