HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Whether she’s on the beach in a bikini, or out at the club in a cocktail dress, Maci Ono is proud to show off her physique.
But that wasn’t always the case.
“For the longest time growing up, like I think because I hated myself so much, I was just angry,” said Ono.
Since she was a child, the 22-year-old from Kaneohe struggled with her weight, even resorting to dangerous eating habits.
“I did get diagnosed with anorexia, I got diagnosed with bulimia, I got diagnosed with binge eating... basically every eating disorder you could probably think of, I got diagnosed with.”
While attending Hawaii Baptist Academy, Ono dropped from about 190 to about 110 pounds.
“For some women, that is a healthy weight for them. For me though, there was like no muscle, nothing,” sh
