A West Australian mother has described the moment her home was firebombed in an attack that left her with extensive burns that required skin grafting surgery.

Penelope Travers, 38, was hospitalised for 17 days with burns to 25 per cent of her body after her home in Greenfields, Mandurah was targeted.

While she was recovering and her 16-year-old daughter was home alone, a second alleged fire attack destroyed her Toyota Hilux ute.

A month on, Travers is still recovering from the physical and financial scars.

Meanwhile, CCTV footage showed the moment her carport was engulfed by a fiery inferno.

A hooded figure could be seen walking up her driveway at 4.30am to target her ute.
