NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State men’s basketball wasted no time making a statement to start the 2025-26 season. The Spartans rolled past Washington Adventist, 98-76, on Monday night inside Echols Hall behind a balanced scoring attack that saw six players reach double figures.
Anthony McComb III led the way with a game-high 19 points, while redshirt freshman My’kel Jenkins impressed in his collegiate debut with 15 points. Elijah Jamison (14), Devon Ellis (12), Jordan Leaks (11) and Keyontae Lewis (11) joined the scoring parade for NSU, which led from start to finish.
Ellis and Jenkins also anchored the effort on the glass with six rebounds apiece, while Jamison, Adrean Newton and Dian Wright-Forde each tallied four assists as the Spartans moved the ball efficiently all night.
