The NSCN has threatened the political parties of dire consequences in case they do otherwise
As the Panchayat elections draws near in Arunachal Pradesh, the banned insurgent group, National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) has once again reportedly interfered in the electoral process.
Intelligence agencies have obtained a document in which the outfit, under the leadership of self-styled Major General, Shahkoi, has issued a directive to villagers in Wakka, Pongchau, Khakam, and Longchan circles of Longding district instructing political parties to field candidates from a one particular political party only and has warned that anyone who defies this order will face “strong action” and a fine of Rs. 20 lakh.
