HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Former Boonville running back, Devin Mockobee's season comes to a close following ankle surgery. The injury likely puts an end to his time at Purdue.

The injury occurred in the Boilermakers' October 25th game against Rutgers, a 27-24 loss. Mockobee was then ruled out of last weekend's 21-16 loss against number 21 Michigan. The school said he then underwent ankle surgery late last week.

He released a statement on social media early Monday to share a final goodbye to his alma mater. In it he said, "I was a guy lucky enough to get my opportunity.
