A police investigation is underway after a bag believed to contain "possible remains" was discovered in West Dunbartonshire. 
The unsettling find was made in the Arthurston Road area of Alexandria around 9.45am on Sunday, prompting an immediate response from officers. 
Authorities have confirmed that the contents of the bag are currently being examined and investigations are ongoing.
