**Pregnant Teen Bella Culley Cleared to Fly Home** Bella Culley, a 19-year-old pregnant woman, is returning to the UK today after being released from custody in Georgia. She was cleared to board a direct flight following her release on compassionate grounds. Culley, who hails from Billingham in Teesside, was held on drug smuggling charges but was freed yesterday. Accompanied by her mother, Lyanne Kennedy, 44, Culley is travelling on an easyJet flight expected to arrive at London Luton Airport at 7pm. Her lawyer, Malkhaz Salakaia, confirmed that she would not require special permission to fly, despite concerns regarding her nearing the 36-week limit for air travel. Culley had been awaiting sentencing after being accused of smuggling 12kg of marijuana and 2kg of hashish in her luggage at Tbilisi international airport in May. She spent five months in a Georgian prison, where she described harsh conditions, including having to boil pasta in a kettle for food and using a hole in the ground as a toilet. Initially facing a two-year prison sentence, her term was reduced to five months and 25 days after a plea deal was reached on Monday. Prosecutors and Culley’s defence team agreed to the changes, taking into account her age, pregnancy, and good behaviour during her time in custody. Prosecutor Vakhtang Tsalugelashvili stated, "It was our initiative - we took into consideration her age, her condition and her good behaviour, and that she fully cooperated." A source from the court indicated that the Georgian authorities showed leniency due to her imminent childbirth. Footage captured outside the court showed Culley appearing shocked yet grateful as she left with her lawyer. After her release, she expressed relief, stating, "I'm feeling relieved," and admitted she was not expecting to be freed. When asked about her prison conditions, she glanced at her mother, who shook her head, prompting her to refrain from elaborating. Upon arrival in the UK, Culley is set to be picked up from Luton Airport and driven back to her home in the North East.
