**Man Jailed for 27 Years After Stabbing Partner** A 35-year-old man has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for stabbing his partner eight times. The attack occurred after she discovered him in bed with a male lover. Ryan Leggett took a knife from a drawer and inflicted multiple wounds to his partner's neck and chest, causing severe damage to her lungs and liver. The incident took place on November 23, when the victim returned home early from work and found Leggett naked in bed with another man, alongside a plate of cocaine. During the sentencing at Ipswich Crown Court, Judge Martyn Levett stated that Leggett appeared to have hoped his partner would die to "save his own embarrassment." He described Leggett as "an unpredictable and dangerous man" who is prone to violent outbursts, particularly after using drugs. Following the attack, Leggett left his partner to die, taking her phone and locking her inside their property in Lowestoft. The victim was left with life-threatening injuries but ultimately survived the ordeal.
