MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two men were arrested over the weekend after a deputy said one of them was shooting from a moving car while the other was driving the car drunk.
On Saturday, around 1:20 a.m., Deputy Casas was patrolling the area of Henry Miller, East of I-5 in Santa Nella, when he says he heard several shots being fired.
Soon after, he says he saw a car speeding by.
After pulling the driver over, the deputy said he found several shell casings inside the car, along with a 1911 Rock Island handgun.
The passenger, identified as 20-year-old Ignacio Morales Jr. of Los Banos, was placed under arrest for negligent discharge of a firearm and booked into the Merced County Sheriff's Office Jail.
