Doug Kuczek Alplaus - Doug Kuczek, 69, passed away suddenly on October 31, 2025, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Born on September 2, 1956 in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of the late Steve and Clara (Pikul) Kuczek.

After graduating from Scotia Glenville High School in 1974 and receiving his associate's degree from Schenectady County Community College, Doug dedicated 35 years of his life as an auditor for the NYS Department of Tax and Finance before retiring in 2013. His meticulous work and amiable nature earned him the respect and friendship of colleagues throughout his career.
