The opening of East Lothian Crematorium & Memorial Gardens in Musselburgh, near Edinburgh, marks a new chapter in personalised funeral services in Scotland.
The purpose-built facility is the first in Scotland to offer an immersive, experiential approach to farewell ceremonies, pairing audio-visual technology with thoughtfully designed spaces to help families create services that reflect the individual qualities of their loved ones.
At the heart of the crematorium is a welcoming chapel designed for comfort and contemplation. It seats up to 112 mourners, with additional standing room available in the entrance lobby and beneath the chapel canopy for larger gatherings.
