INDIANAPOLIS — A community prayer vigil took place on Monday after a violent weekend across Indianapolis.
One teen was killed and another is not expected to survive after a shooting on Sunday afternoon. Three people were hurt just 13 hours earlier , shot inside a downtown bar.
And that's just part of the count. Faith-based organization leaders, law enforcement and neighbors at Amazing Grace Christian Church all had the same message: They're tired of the violence, and they believe the city can do better.
This comes after a violent weekend after Halloween. Originally, this annual vigil was a service planned just for the families of homicide victims, but IMPD Chaplain Rev. John Russell said they expanded it to include anyone in need of hope.
