STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Today is Election Day, and we’re all encouraged to head to the polls to vote.
New York City residents will cast their ballots for mayor, public advocate and comptroller, and Staten Islanders will also vote for borough president, City Council members. Special court elections will also be held.
Polling sites are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Election Day is not a federal holiday, but it is considered a state holiday in New York.
