See how Staten Island ranks in listing of top public high schools

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — As students across New York City apply to high school, Niche recently released its 2026 Best Public High Schools list to find the top schools across the United States.

The list highlighted nationwide rankings, as well as state and local rankings — including Staten Island schools.

The rankings include updated data for more than 93,000 public schools, 30,000 private schools and over 11,000 school districts nationwide.

Staten Island Technical High School in New Dorp was ranked the third best public high school in the state, according to the Niche ranking. It is also in the top 25 best public high schools across the United States.
