As the federal government shutdown continues and leaves low-income Iowans without their full monthly food assistance benefits, GOP gubernatorial hopeful Randy Feenstra toured Iowa's largest food bank and said passage of the Republican-backed short-term funding extension would get food aid rolling again.
Feenstra, who represents northwestern Iowa's 4th Congressional District, visited the Food Bank of Iowa in Des Moines on Monday, Nov. 3, marking one of his first formal campaign stops since launching his campaign for governor on Oct. 28.
