CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - After years of community listening sessions and surveys, voters will now be deciding whether or not to approve the Cedar Rapids Community School Districts’ (CRCSD) $117 million bond.

If approved by voters, the district would receive community funding for renovation projects at several of its oldest schools. These projects would largely include modernizations to the older buildings, some of which are more than 100 years old.

McKinley Middle School, Wilson Middle School, Roosevelt Middle School and Kennedy High School would be getting those major renovations. The work on these buildings is meant to modernize the interiors and functionality while preserving the historical exteriors.
