Now that Halloween is behind us, everyone will be looking ahead to Christmas . One of the best parts of the winter season is Christmas shopping, with part of the fun being picking out the perfect gifts for friends and family.

With December 25 not all that far away, now is the time to start thinking about festive shopping . Scotland's many charming towns and villages are perfect for picking up beautiful handmade gifts and local produce.

As reported by the Daily Record , St Andrews in Fife was previously named the "top destinations for fabulous Christmas shopping in Scotland". The town was included on a roundup of the top festive shopping destinations by TCG London.
