A 49-year-old from Kingston is facing charges stemming from a break-in at a cottage north of Kingston on Sunday.
According to a release, it was around 4:30 p.m. when police arrived at a Perth Road residence after a report of a suspicious person on the property.
Ontario Provincial Police officers spotted a man, who the ran into the forest, leaving behind a car. OPP discovered that the car, in fact, had been stolen earlier that day.
Additional officers and the canine unit arrived to help search, and the suspect was located at 7 p.m.
Household items, power tools, and fishing and hunting gear were recovered as well as the stolen vehicle. Also, a quantity of methamphetamine was also recovered.
