The death of a 19-year-old man in Regina over the weekend is now a homicide investigation.
Police were called to a home on the 1000 block of 12th Ave. at the corner of Winnipeg Street just before 1 a.m. CST Saturday.
When they arrived, officers found a 19-year-old man dead inside the home.
According to police, he’d been shot.
The Regina Police Service Major Crime Unit and the Forensic Identification Unit were brought in to investigate and the death was determined to be a homicide.
Police say the victim’s name won’t be released at the family’s request.
It’s the city’s 10th homicide so far this year.
